Due to many advantages, Semiconductor Light gets more and more people’sapproval. With the popularity of the semiconductor lighting, power LED drivertechnology has become the hottest spots around the world, but the power LED’s heatproblem has been troubling everyone. How to most effectively protect power LEDunder high temperature conditions is the problem which is urge ntly needed at homeand abroad, and which is essential to extend the service life of power LED.The main objective of this topic is to design a LED driver IC with temperaturecompensation function, which is useful to protect power LED under high temperature.We save the peripheral topology and application costs by integrated power tube andprimary side feedback sampling. We improve the accuracy of the reference currentsource by using a variety of curvature compensation, thereby increasing the accuracyof output current, and we reduce the electromagnetic interference by using theoscillator with frequency jitter technology. We effectively protect the power LEDworking at high temperature by temperature compensation which can achieve afunction of constant current at low temperature and reduce current at high temperature.Firstly, we introduce the history and development of the LED, and then introducea basic principle of LED and the topology of switching power. Secondly, we introducethe influence of temperature for power LED, and then we analyze, derive and simulatethe internal module. Finally, we verify the function of temperature compensation andconstant current by simulating the all circuits.
