With the rapid advance of computer graphics and realistic graphics technology, Atthe same time with the computer hardware’s innovation, computer graphics have madegreat progress. In recent years, the3D photorealistic terrain modeling gradually becomea hot research topic in computer graphics, the3D Relief generate requires two mainsteps: Terrain modeling and terrain rendering. Terrain modeling is the key to generatehighly realistic3D terrain, there are two ways to terrain modeling: Image modeling, thatis the real image constructed from, but because of its calculation is very complicated,it’s difficult to be applied directly to the current conditions in real-time rendering system.Graphical modeling, that is easily handled by a computer simple geometry toapproximate, thus, we can build three-dimensional terrain graphics grid model. Thispaper aims to study the fractal geometry-based graphical modeling approach to3Dterrain modeling, and achieve some fast analog terrain generation algorithm, Focuses onthe fractal terrain algorithms based on Perlin Noise, and we modified the Algorithmon this basis, to get more sophisticated and rich terrain.This paper first introduces terrain modeling technology based on fractal geometry,Focus on to describe three-dimensional terrain modeling techniques based on PerlinNoise, And thus improve the Perlin Noise algorithm, generate macro-terrain model, Thisis the premise and foundation to generate the3D Relief. Then introduced the renderingof the terrain mapping and terrain rendering acceleration technology, when we beginterrain rendering, to let the terrain effects more realistic, terrain texture mappingtechnology was proposed. Due to the very complex terrain mesh model, and thecomputation is extremely large, the terrain rendering accelerate technology came intobeing, in order to be able to get real-time terrain editing effects, we must adopt a moreoptimized computing, and Reduce the computational complexity, using LOD(Level-of-detail) level of detail technology to improve the efficiency of thethree-dimensional rendering of the terrain. Finally, introduces the terrain of thepost-processing effects, using generated terrain for later processing, Mainly to generatethree-dimensional terrain road, using B-Spline curve to simulate the road profile, Then, "built" road on the terrain, at the same time, Implement texture mapping on the highway,So that the road looks more realistic.This paper aims on the basis of the fractal geometry empirical model, based onoriginal Berlin noise model, extended to a variety of different terrain the basis of theoriginal model, such as plains, slopes, mountains, etc. On this basis, we can modifythese basic topographic, Such as scaling, elevated, smooth operation, you can alsosuperimposed reverse filtering operation, And developed a human-machine interactivereal-time development platform: Real-time fast terrain editing system, Based on thesystem, you can quickly simulate plains, slopes, peaks, ravines and other naturelandforms, Finally, you can "build" highway on the terrain, to make it more real andclose to reality.
