In modern times, a lot of high-performance aircrafts are often in a high-load stateduring the flight training or the actual maneuvering flight. High load may cause thepilots to lose consciousness, and make the flight dangerous. In order to improve thepilots’ skills and high-load capacity, the pilots must keep a large number of high-loadflight training. If all the trainings use real aircrafts, the flight trainings not only consumea lot, but also endanger the pilots’ safety. Thus, a high dynamic flight simulator is verynecessary.In the machinery and motion control system of high dynamic simulator, the drivesystem is a key part. The overload simulation of high dynamic flight simulator isrealized by the rotation of the spindle drive arm, which produces continuous centrifugalacceleration. Then it combines the acceleration of gravity to be an integratedacceleration. With the pitching motion of basket and the rolling motion of frame, theintegrated acceleration in some particular direction changes into the overload the pilotfelt, so the motor driving the basket must be able to provide large torque, and must havea very good control performance. Brushless DC motor has large torque coefficient,strong overload capacity, good heat dissipation condition, reliable operation, as well asgood control performance, is good accord with the requirement of the high dynamicsimulator driving system.During the study of DC torque motor control performance, at first a mathematicalmodel is essential, the mathematical model based on the transfer function is veryimportant in the speed regulation system. As for some specific control requirements, thespeed control system should be designed specifically and made some optimization.Perturbation resistance of the motor must be strong. Even if the motor is overloadedoperated, it also has to perform a strong stability, at the same time, the process of motorstarting must be quick enough if the safe standard allows. In the process of dynamic, theovershoot must be strictly controlled to ensure the safety of pilots. Based on the aboverequirements, this paper designed a rotational speed and current double closed loopsspeed control system, in order to achieve the control request. Then an adaptive fuzzy PID controller which combines fuzzy control and common PID control, is used in thespeed loop to further improve the steady-state and dynamic performance of the system,then a step response simulation is done based on MATLAB to verify the performance ofthe design of the controller.In the aspect of high dynamic flight simulator’s software system, motor control andflight mode selection module function is designed, and some program based onTwinCAT PLC language is also designed to control the motor to achieve the specific jobrequirements.
