With the rapidly development of wireless communication technology, the scarcityof spectrum resources is increasingly serious. However, traditional fixed spectrumallocation strategy has resulted in a large number of idle licensed spectrum resources.Cognitive radio can dynamically sense ambient spectrum resources, discover andutilize spectrum "holes" for communication, effectively improving the spectrumutilization. Based on the fundamental theory of cognitive radio and inspired by thetechnology of selective access and SCTP-based concurrent multipath transfer(CMT),this paper designs and implements the selective access module and concurrentmultipath transfer module in a multi-cell cognitive radio communication demonstrationsystem using USRP. These modules can support cell selection (re-selection), handover, and the user data’s concurrent multipath transmission in the demonstration system.Firstly, this paper introduces the background and basic principles of cognitiveradio briefly. Secondly, this paper introduces the USRP based multi-cell cognitiveradio communication demonstration system’s objectives and design schemes. Finally, this paper describes the design and implementation of selective access module andconcurrent multipath transfer module in detail. |
