Parameter estimation of digital modulation signal is commonplace in bothcommunication countermeasures and spectrum policing. How to find efficient andprecise methods to estimate the digital modulation signal in complex electromagneticenvironment is also an important branch discipline of modern wireless communication.The signal referred to in the paper is MASK、MPSK、MFSK、MQAM. Parameterestimation of digital modulation signal includes carrier frequency and symbol rate.Firstly, several classical carrier frequency algorithm are discussed. simulation andanalysis is done under the variable SNR to verify the carrier frequency. Differentalgorithms’ applicable conditions and advantages are obtained. The algorithm’s Gaussnoise performance, range of parameter estimation, mean square error and computationalcomplexity are compared. Prove that higher-order statistics carrier estimation algorithmis the best. Secondly,the algorithm of symbol rate estimation based on wavelettransform is discussed. Analysis on the impact of several factors affect the algorithm isdone. And improved algorithms are proposed to overcome these types of influencingfactors. This paper compared the differences in performance between the improved andthe original algorithms through simulation. Then the parameter estimation algorithmbased on cyclic spectrum is discussed, and analyzed its property, improved algorithm toreduce computational complexity. Compare the performance of the improved algorithmthrough simulation. At last, the parameter estimation algorithm is implemented to verifythe correction of simulation result. The implementation results turn out to be consistentwith simulation.
