It is important to suppress interference efficiently in modern radar technology faced to increasingly harsh battlefield environment. In this paper, the UHF-band phased array radar is researched and some practical problems are studied.This paper discusses the basic principles of Adaptive interference suppression Techniques for array antenna and the model of narrow-band interference signals. By Spatial filtering method, the performances of the Sample matrix inversion algorithm, Diagonal loading algorithm, Eigenspace-based algorithm are introduced the variations of the algorithm with signal-to-noise ratio, interference-to-noise ratio and the number of snapshots are analyzed. Two improved methods, sample matrix inversion algorithm and Eigenspace-based algorithm, have been proposed dure to improve the weights disturbance caused by the small number of snapshots in the actual project. In rectangular area array, the best auxiliary channel for the system is determined by analyzing the impact of the destructively gain and the remaining power. The realization method of channel equalization is studied because of the channel mismatch phenomenon. The final solution for system is determined by the analysis of the direction of the interference, equalizer order and bandwidth-delay product. After the process of pulse pressure, moving target detection (MTD), constant false alarm rate (CFAR),the processing data agreed well with the experimental assumptions and verified the feasibility of the design algorithms.
