Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology is a significant breakthrough in the development of wireless communication technologies which can dramatically improve capacity of wireless communication. Antenna Gain imbalance (AGI) exists in practical application of MIMO system, which greatly affects the MIMO system performance. In order to improve the performance, this paper studies the AGI.Firstly, this paper analyzes and elaborates some key technologies involved in the LTE-A including space-time codes and equalization algorithm. Meanwhile, an AGI definition and model is given and its impact on MIMO technology is analyzed. Based on analyzing the existing AGI detection, this paper studies an AGI detection method utilizing particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. In this paper the AGI of Multi-Antenna was established and modeled; the problem of detecting AGI is described as an optimization problem in order to use the channel information of UP-Link Multi-User, and introducing the PSO algorithm to solve this problem. Then, this paper gives a methods of solving the problems of AGI though the receiver compensate the constellation with the imbalance parameter and optimization solution is selected with the Euclidian distance measurement. Finally, according to soft cell scene, this paper gives a power allocation algorithm with two base station based on STBC transmission mode. Simulation results demonstrate effectiveness of the scheme.
