The EMG signal has been widely used in clinical medicine, sports medicine, biomedicine and other areas. One of the important applications of EMG is to control prostheses. Signal processing and recognition mode are needed in the development of electromyographic prosthesis control system. Aiming at the applications, an EMG signal acquisition system based on board and the signal processing part based on collected EMG signal have been designed.By overviews about newly developed multi-DOFs prosthetic hands, the general framework of EMG signal acquisition and processing system is created, including the main structure, functions and the specific implementation methods.A two-channel EMG acquisition device based on AC6621is designed. The device contains the amplifier and filter modules. The acquired EMG signals can be displayed in real time and stored in a computer.In this thesis, wavelet package theory is used to analyze the EMG signals. Using the wavelet package to extract advisable characterization vectors from EMG signals as SVM input vectors, this paper works on solving the motion pattern classification and has achieved good performance.
