The Circular arc is very important and basic object in computer-aided geometricdesign (CAGD). The Modern CAD/CAM systems can not deal with the parametric and theimplicit equation of circle. Therefore, people often use them to approximate the arc. Firstlythe article introduces that the arc is approximated by PH curve. Secondly this paperintroduces that the arc is approximated by four Bézier curve and gives the result of thecalculation in the condition. Thirdly this paper gives that the arc is approximated by cubicBézier curve. In the paper, the closed form of the Hausdorff distance between the circulararc and the cubic Bézier curve is given when they have a coincidence point.
