This thesis studies the analysis and design of research information management system. Research Information Management System with the network technology declarations online is a system that has the functions of matters approval online, research project management, organization management and so on. It is designed for inefficiency of research information management and trying to resolve the company’s low rate of utilization of human resources on research information management. complex assessment, poor real-time. Research information management workflow design, research information management, intelligent, platform and thereby improve the efficiency of research and information management greatly.The thesis first introduces the research background for the research information management system, outlined the problems to solve, discuss the significance and importance of the project, and elaborated methods of system development and the related technologies. The thesis presents the design goals of the system, conducted a detailed requirement analysis systems, including business requirements, functional requirements, data requirements and non-functional requirements, It also gives the system’s business process diagrams, use case diagrams and concepts diagrams to make use case descriptions; In system design, there are system overall design and module design, including online matters approval, science and technology project management, organization management, and other functional modules, and the thesis gives the modular design with class diagrams, sequence diagrams and processing flowchart, elaborates design content and uses ER diagram and database table structure detailed design; Finally, summarized for the contents of the study, described the thesis major work and pointed out the shortcomings of the thesis as well as the prospect of further work.
