With the development of technology, the requirement of personal identification isimproving, and the biological feature recognition is the main direction of development. The access control system is the most typical application. Comparing with other kindof access control system, the finger vein identification access control system hasmany advantages. Higher precision, non-contact identification, higher level of security, and so on. It is widely accepted in the field of access control system. In the researchof domestic and foreign, there are so many finger vein recognition products, but theyare all used in PC or in the laboratory. This article develops an access control systemby using finger vein identification. It not only overcomes high prices, big volume, hard to carry in PC, but also smaller, cost lower, and more intelligent operation. This article develops the access control system from analyzing the type, function, application of other access control system. It is the embedded technology. The mainwork includes: firstly introduces the development of the access control system, fingersout the development direction of this technology, and analyzes the functionalrequirement. Throw the OMAP-L137equipped with Linux system, developing thecollecting device and control system on embedded platform. Conversing the C++program of RBF neural network by using Real-Time Workshop in MATLAB, and useit on the embedded system. Designs a more concise and clear user interface UI byusing Qt program. The test shows that the finger vein access control system is reliable, higher recognition rate, lower cost, and wider market prospect.
