Reverse engineering is an engineering required digital model which using the existing real materials, products or other samples to be transformed by the three-dimensional optical scanner.And on this basis the model will be anatomied, digested, modified, reconstructed, remanufactured, is one of the important direction of modern digital model design. Among them, the stitching of the surface patches is the key and difficulty in the reverse process, stitching good or not will directly impact on the surface quality. Therefore, the surface patched stitching technology will become an important research focus in the reverse engineering.Surfacer patches matching is conducted after surface interpolation, and NURBS surface patches on the node vectors, control points and weights of the strike is a necessary prerequisite for surface blending.For surface angular point integration problems of the two or more surface pitches, this article point out how to rearrange the control vertices to solve the two patches through the issue of a common border stitching, and stitching average angle error is0.0164°. Then the two patches splicing fully integrated into one seamless patch.On the basis of the surface of seamless, this article by catculating the weight factor to strike combined with Pickel algorithm rehandle fine-tune the weight factor, obtained surface blending weight factor firstly, by mobile weighting factor method to fine-tune the control points, and thus fine-tune the surface indirectly, so that the average surface angle error is0.0049°after matching,which reduce the error of surface patches effectively to make surface more smooth.In allusion to the splicing of the N-face angle, this article point out that control points mapped to the corner at the tangent plane method, first of all to find the Angle point of tangent plane, Then put the control vertex mapping to the tangent plane and pull the corners around the curved surface, in order to achieve the ruled surfaces at the corner stitching to achieve G1continuity.This article base on VS2008and OpenGL-based software development platform, patch traditional stitching algorithm and improved algorithm experiments separetly, the results show that this method can effectively improve the fitting accuracy of the patch, and improve the efficiency of surface fitting.
