After MIMO radar concept was proposed,number of research institutions at homeand abroad began to do research on performance in all aspects of MIMO radar,one ofthe important research topics of MIMO radar is the design and optimization of theMIMO radar orthogonal waveforms.Currently, a large number of theoretical results onthe design criteria and design methods and processing of the MIMO radar orthogonalwaveform have been achieved in our country and abroad. The purpose of this project isto achieve the hardware-generated of the orthogonal frequency division multiplexinglinear frequency modulation(OFDM-LFM) waveform and orthogonal two-phaseencoded waveform.Firstly,this dissertation analysis of the principle to generate the OFDM-LFMwaveform and orthogonal two-phase encoded waveform on the basis of introduction offrequency-domain and time-domain features of the OFDM-LFM waveform andorthogonal two-phase encoded waveform.This dissertation introduces a orthogonalwaveform generator system program.This program designed a MIMO radar orthogonalwaveform generating system which was made up of PC control interface and the MIMOradar orthogonal waveform generator board.Secondly,the solution for orthogonal waveform generator hardware circuit designand the hardware module device selection and schematic design was introduced.Thisproject uses a FPGA chip as the controller and uses the direct digital frequencysynthesizer chip AD9910to synthesize the waveforms.And then,this dissertation describes the design plan of the FPGA and controlinterface program.By the transplantation of the MC8051IP core on the FPGA to build asystem-on-chip, the register configuration of AD9910and the funtions of serialcommunication and serial data processing are realized.The method to generate LFMwaveform by AD9910is illustrated,and the FPGA control logic to generateOFDM-LFM pulse is designed.The method to generate two-phase encoded waveformby AD9910is illustrated,and the FPGA control logic to generate orthogonal two-phaseencoded pulse is designed.The specific functions and the operating procedure of the control interface are illustrated.Finally, the hardware and software debugging has been completed, time domain orfrequency domain performance of the single-frequency, LFM and two-phase encodedwaveform was tested and recorded, the correctness and feasibility of the program hasbeen verified.
