In recent years, real-time computing technology has become more widely used inthe aerospace, defense, transportation, nuclear energy and health care, and many otherreal-time safety-critical systems, real-time network traffic demand for real-timenetwork brings new demands and challenges, become a national industrial researchfocus problem, more than20kinds of solutions continue to compete, in order toobtain the recognition of the industry. In the fierce competition in the time-triggeredEthernet (Time Triggered Ethernet, TTE) stand out, its time-triggered technologyuncertainty, fault-tolerant mechanisms and real-time performance with the flexibilityof the ordinary Ethernet, dynamic performance, as well as "best-effort" combined,provide support for synchronous, highly reliable embedded computing andnetworking, fault-tolerant design.Many foreign research institutions and Electric Company engaged in of TTE’s R&D work, such as the University of Vienna, Verona University Duisburg-EssenUniversity, the related mature products used in industrial and aerospace. However,domestic TTE research is in its infancy, The mature TTE products can’t be seen yet.In response to this situation, this paper uses the combination of theoreticalanalysis and experimental simulation research methods. The research is basically inaccordance with the analysis of the problem, create a theoretical model to simulateand analyze the process. Time-triggered Ethernet technology, the use of networkcalculus and simulation tools to analyze time-triggered Ethernet real-time,deterministic network performance and the main parameters. Analysis of thetime-triggered Ethernet implementations and scheduling mechanism, time-triggeredEthernet clock synchronization mechanism, fault-tolerant mechanisms andcommunication transmission mechanism, analysis of the time-triggered Ethernettiming to keep the algorithm, centralized algorithms and clock synchronizationalgorithm and simulation platform designed and implemented time-triggered Ethernetnetwork node model, build a time-triggered Ethernet network simulation model, andprecise analysis of time-triggered Ethernet network performance.For the first time by the two methods of network calculus and simulation studies,the study confirmed that the real-time triggering Ethernet clock synchronizationaccuracy (maximum clock skew is93ns), multi-flow data communications to ensurereal-time data and real-time, but also to meet the communication needs of thetraditional Ethernet general data traffic, time-triggered Ethernet provide strongtheoretical support in the development and application of industrial and aerospace.
