In recent years, human space exploration is becoming more and more frequent.Since China’s first manned spacecraft, Shenzhou-Five, was successfully launched in2003, its projects of first lunar satellite Chang’e-One and first manned docking werefinished successively. However, due to the variability and complexity of the Earthexternal environment space, there is still a huge risk in human space explorationactivities, so the space environment science attracts more and more national attentions.The scientific research of the space environment is mainly derived from satellitedetection data and space environment model, therefore the organization andmanagement of space environment data is very important. Except that, the needs ofspace environment data visualization are also increasing. On one hand, scientists needvaried data expression to assist their space science exploration. On the other hand, thegeneral publics need vivid, even interactive3D visualization to help them to understandspace science knowledge.Firstly, this dissertation introduces the near-Earth space models, such as theInternational Geomagnetic Reference Field (IGRF) model, Tsyganenko Magnetosphere(T96) model and Radiation belt electrons and protons (AE8/AP8) model.Then studytheir mathematical principles, modeling process and realization of computing modeldata. In addition, analysis of the characteristics of model calculation data is completed.Then methods of standardization processes and classification of satellite detection dataare presented.Then this dissertation builds the model of space environment data based on modelcomputing data and satellite detection data. Besides, design the relationship of metadataand raw data to describe the object of the space environment. The space environmentdata pretreatment methods are proposed, such as coordinate conversion and regular gridconstruction. Put up the solutions and a number of key issues to store spaceenvironment data for our small system.On the basis of this theory, it raises a streamline tracing algorithm which can applyto the space environment model to achieve three-dimensional magnetic field lines visualization of IGRF model. Towards T96model, not only the visualization of itsmagnetic field lines is realized, but also visualizing magnetospheric magnetic shellthrough the conversion of latitude and magnetic latitude based on the understanding ofB-L coordinates. For AE8/AP8model, this dissertation primarily addresses theintegration problem of magnetic field strength in the model and values in geomagneticmodel. Then it introduces the technology of OpenGL texture mapping and lightprojection algorithm in volume rendering to achieve the texture mapping and volumerendering. Besides, this dissertation also analyses and implements two visualizationways, ordinary query and query based on events, of satellite detection data.Finally, develope a small space environment data management and visualizationsystem based on the MFC application framework. Besides, design the methods of datamanagement and visualization process, and exhibit its running state.
