Design PB9.0 And SQL Server2000 Laboratory Management System

With the rapid development of market economy and information technology,Information recourses have become into the same important roles of materials andenergies, Information technology is combined with traditional industry extensively. Andit has become a booster for national economic currently. The level of computerinformation has become a very important symbol of a regional comprehensive strength.Even colleges and universities take information technology as the very importantprocess. Engineering design has become main business affairs.In this article，the project design system meet the reality need. In the C/S structuremodel, the application of software, C development tools, PB plat form technology arebeen used. Project design management system based on distributed components,multi-levels, daemonic centered database and C/S structure model was designed andachieved. The system has detail analysis in design business progress requirement, peoplerequirement and general plan. By the analysis of design business progress which dividesthe system into functional module is the structure of system built.Laboratory managements system is a typical management information system(MIS). The development of this system including two aspects, one is maintenance of thebackground database and the establishment, and the other is the development offore-end application. This thesis which is based on the basic requirements of laboratorymanagement system was developed with PowerBuilder9.0IDE and SQL server2000database.This thesis analyzes the requirements of laboratory management system anddesigns the overall functions about the system. It also explains the concept structuredesign of the system database, the design of logic structure and the structure of datasheet. We can see the main window, database connection window, experimentmanagement window, maintenance window in the system clearly. And it shows theprimary function module code in every chapter too. At the end of the article, summaryof the laboratory management and the improvement which should be pointed out isgiven us. We test the system by setting checkpoints. Software users can log on the systemsuccessfully if all the checkpoints are right. System resources can satisfy the functionrequirements of the performance management system, so the overall demand of thesystem design can be satisfied.
