With the rapid development of wireless communication technology, a novelfrequency tunable antenna using ferroelectric BST thin films and not changing its ownstructure is presented. The frequency tunable antenna is the best way of which is thecore web platform that the different frequency band of mobile service would operate inrecent years. As a new technology,the frequency tunable antenna using ferroelectricBST thin films is still researched. Therefore the frequency tunable antenna usingferroelectric BST thin films which has favourable piezoelectric property could changerelative dielectric constant by changing extra electric field. Above of all can achieve thegoal that the narrow band can tune in a broadband.In this dissertation, a new frequency tunable antenna based on BST materialdesigning for mobile frequency (which is2GHz~3GHz) is proposed. This paper carriedon the corresponding theory analysis and calculation, and adopt relevant microstripantenna analysis method.We analyze the patch antenna with different shapes, such asrectangles, rectangular array, and other typical yagi microstrip antenna by modeling andsimulating under the introduction of BST (barium strontium titanate ferroelectricmaterials). By changing the dielectric constant of ferroelectric thin films, we couldanalyze the feasibility of tunable microstrip antenna with using the simulationsoftware.Above all,we could put forward the innovation points and conclusion andtarget analysis of the feasibility of tunable microstrip antenna. Above all,this papersummarized the research results of the tunable antenna,also showed the fine tuning ofthe designed antenna radiation.This paper finally summarizes the research on tunable antenna to achieve results inthis design, performance parameters of the model are described and validated, showinga good tuning performance and radiation properties of the antenna, and has greatapplication value. The design of tunable antenna greatly expanded the antennafrequency bandwidth and make the tunable objective,which has a broad prospects.
