Design And Implementation Of Student Information Management System Based On B/S

In the last decade, as government repeatedly relaxed colleges and universities’ enrollment policy, the number of students in colleges and universities have grown rapidly, which has brought great challenges to the institutions of higher learning educational administration work.In the past, teachers only relied on manual paper processing students’information which has been unable to meet the new demands in colleges and universities teaching management. So student information management system is rapid develop now because of computer technology flourishing. Student information management system has many advantages, such as processing a large amount of information, processing information in a timely manner and storing conveniently, meanwhile, student information management system has a high reliability and safety. So colleges and universities would like to vigorously develop their own student information management system to improve the quality of their teaching and working efficiency.The subject comes from a private college’s student information management system design and implementation process. In recent years, the private college expanded the size of the school; the old student information management system has been unable to meet the needs of day-to-day academic work of the teachers, so it needs to be re-designed and re-implemented, which is more powerful, more stable performance, more convenient. In order to enhance the school’s teaching quality and efficiency.In this paper, the main work is reflected in the following aspects:(1) Introducing two typical Web application implementation process models which are C/S and B/S, analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of C/S and B/S, and the student information management system basic program based on B/S in the Web environment as well.(2) In accordance with the general process of software implementation, analyzing user’s needs, functional requirements, non-functional requirements, and the operating environment. In addition, the functional requirements analysis is discussed in detail.(3) Designing and implementing the system database and the various functional modules in detail. In implementation of various functions part, the key functions is analyzed and discussed in this paper.In this subject, the practical significance is mainly reflected in the following aspects:(1) The student information management platform for the private colleges and universities is built, which enables teachers and students complete the educational administration work through it. Thus, paperless work and informatization is achieved.(2) The workload of the faculty is reduced effectively, and the efficiency of the educational administration work is improved; students can quickly and easily get the information of educational administration work, in order to complete the educational administration function.(3) Student information management system in the practical application of the educational administration work is researched. Therefore, it has some theoretical and practical value for the research and development of student information management system.
