With the emerging of the cloud computing concept and the explosive growth in Mobile Apps, mobile cloud computing has been introduced to be a potential technology for mobile services. Mobile cloud computing integrates the cloud computing into the mobile environment and overcomes the obstacles related to the performance (e.g., storage, battery life, CPU and bandwidth), environment (e.g., heterogeneity, availability and scalability) and security (e.g., privacy and reliability) discussed in mobile computing. By reasonable and effective computing task migration and handoff, it not only extends the battery life of the mobile terminals, improves the data storage and the processing capacity, improves the reliability and reduces the computational cost of the economic, but also improves the utilization of the surrogate resource. In the mobile computing environment, when is the best migration time and where to migrate are the key questions of the task handover. The thesis presents the management system that can support the communications and the computing handover at the same time and analyzed the process of switching the communications and computing at the same time on the basis of the framework. It focused on the study of the multi-attribute decision algorithm applies across heterogeneous wireless networks, including the simple weighted method, the entropy method and the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution, proposed the threshold-based vertical handover decision criteria so that it can take into account the ping-pong effect that may produced by the network boundaries when the mobile terminals is in the mobile computing environment during the handover decision. In the end, it has done a variety of switching algorithm simulations and performance analysis. And it also studied the relationship between the network attribute parameters and the performance of the algorithm. The simulation results showed that:(1) When the movement speed of the mobile devices is less than25km/h, the network handoff frequency, the completion time of the task and the energy consumption of the mobile devices are relatively gentle upward trend; when the movement speed of the mobile terminal is more than25km/h, handover times is frequency and the completion time shows the accelerated upward trend;(2) Each performance function will gradually converge when to change the minimum equivalent factor and minimum improvement factor until the handover does not occur. During the changes in various factors, the users can find one parameter that suits them best.
