In the premise of rapid developments of modern military, science and technology, the design of antenna controlling system is widely concerned by many researchers. Increasing of both the size of antenna and the frequency is the current purpose of all research efforts. At the same time, higher requirements of response speed, pointing accuracy and robustness have been put forward.This paper focuses on the design problem of servo position controller for large antennas. Firstly, aiming at the large antenna system, this thesis reviews the domestic and foreign various current control algorithms of analysis and simulation. PI (proportional-integral) controller is the simplest and practical control algorithm; this paper makes a detailed analysis of the PI controller parameters setting process.Secondly, because the large antenna systems are commonly built in severe environments, many disturbance factors of natural environment have effects on them, especially for wind. According to the antenna model geographical environment, this thesis establishes three reliable mathematical models of wind speed and loads them at different positions of the system, including the forms of force, torque and speed, respectively.Finally, this thesis introduces the Linear Quadratic Gaussian (i.e. LQG) control principle and design methods. The process of parameters modification of the controller is on the basis of the coordinate selection and the weight of the attributes. At the same time, based on the difficult about LQG controller weights setting, this paper proposed a LQG weights optimization method based on artificial bee colony algorithm and simplified controller design process. Compared with the PI controller, the LQG controller can improve the tracking precision in the case of wind disturbance.
