OFDM technology has become the key technology of WLAN, LTE and DVB-TVand due to its high efficient spectrum utilization and strong resistance to multipathfading.It has become a hot research of digital communication technology. AlthoughOFDM has some disadvantages, it has been improved in some extent with the domesticand overseas scholars research. These defects do not become obstacle to OFDMtechnology widely applied. OFDM technology theoretical research and practicalapplication is increasingly perfect and mature.In this thesis, the first part is theory analysis of the modem process based on themathematical model of OFDM and the principle of against multipath fading. Theadvantages of cycle prefix are analyzed and simulated with MATLAB. Due to theproblem of high PAPR, the SC-FDMA multiple access technology is used in the uplinkof LTE system. The thesis describes the basic principle and simulates the PAPR ofSC-FDMA and OFDM. Secondly, a reference standard IEEE802.11a standard, theframe synchronization, frequency offset synchronization, symbol synchronization,phase tracking and channel estimation algorithm are made detailed analysis. The framesynchronization is based on delay related algorithm. The channel estimation is based onLS algorithm. Finally, using VerilogHDL language in Xilinx Virtex-5LX50T chiprealize the transmitter and receiver and describe the implementation methods and steps.
