Research about acquiring the information about network nodes position has become one of the critical technology in Wireless Sensor Networks. With expanding the scope of sensor networks application, it is changing from static networks to dynamic networks about the sensor networks. Currently, localization technology about Mobile Sensor Networks has become the focus of concern. Mobility makes the networks acquire more position information, but it also makes accurate localization more difficult.Firstly, this thesis summarized the MSNs, including network structure, characteristics, the most popular research technologies, the development and application status and then it put emphasis up on the meaning of localization technologies in MSNs. Also this paper describes the existing localization methods of the localization of nodes in the wireless sensor networks, such as MCL、MCB、MMCL、 Dual MCL、Mixture MCL、MSL*、MSL and so on.Secondly, this thesis summarized TinyOS system and nesC language and it has formed a mesh network based on mobile wireless sensor networks.Thirdly, the author proposes a weighted localization algorithm based on Monte Carlo using the estimated location error (EWMC). The effective forecast for the direction of motion of the mobile improves the sampling efficiency by reducing the scope from which the candidate samples are selected. The improvement in sampling efficiency dramatically reduces the computational cost. Also, the algorithm uses the estimated position information of sensor nodes to improve localization accuracy. The performance has also been evaluated through extensive simulations. Based on this, a mobile wireless sensor network has been designed and implemented. Finally, we make a conclusion of our work and discuss the further research issues for mobility wireless sensor networks.
