The two-phase flow research is a new emerging discipline on the basis of the heat transfer science and fluid mechanics. It is widely used in the industry, such as petroleum, chemical, thermal power. Besides, it is the most basic flow pattern in the fluid flow. Thus studying the flow pattern of the two phase flow has important significance. This paper reviewed the current status and significance of the two-phase of gas and liquid, and gave a general introduction of the various flow patterns. After researching the influence of the parameters in the two phase flow on the flow patterns, a fuzzy control method was introduced. This will make an important significance in actual industrial application. It can avoid the appearance of the harmful flow pattern, and ensure the economical and practical significance in industrial production. With the development of modern computer technology, the research of flow pattern based on fuzzy control has become a reality. In this paper, the fuzzy control technology was studied, and the fuzzy control technique was applied to the identification of the two-phase flow pattern. The main contribution of this paper is as follows:1) Research of the influence of different levels parameters on flow pattern:the comprehensive experiments are often difficult to implement due to the experimental experiments. In order to reduce the number of trials, the orthogonal experiment method was introduced. The thought of orthogonal experiment method is:select the combinations of representative parameters from all the experimental combinations to experiment, then the test results to learn the comprehensive test. It will greatly reduce the number of experiments and improve the efficiency of the experiment.2) The fuzzy c-means (FCM) is sensitive to the noise. For example, because some point is away from the center of classes, when we make our data set classified, the center of the class deviate form the real center of the some class. To solve the problem, we create the RFCM algorithm on the basis of the FCM. Now, developing the RFCM, we find the improved RFCM algorithm.3) Now we introduce the fuzzy control technology on the study of the two-phase flow pattern. The fuzzy ruler is the core of the fuzzy control technology. Bring the fuzzy ruler determine the fuzzy controller. We use the improved RFCM algorithm to produce the fuzzy ruler to construct the fuzzy controller, and we use the fuzzy controller to study the pattern of the two phase flow. It is a very important method for the study to study the regular ruler of the two-phase flow.When we complete the experiment under the typical condition and the control experiment, we find that the experiment results show our propose method is effective and feasible. Also the experiment results further offer the application basis and experience to the multiphase conversion and control.
