Fuzzy control as an important branch of intelligent control, since its birth have itbeen reaserched in-deepth and widly all over the word. In order to improve the accuracyof the fuzzy controller in the application, the industry has a variety of research, in whichthe variable universe fuzzy control is an important method. This article aims toanaiysising and improving the variable universe fuzzy control, and study its applicationin process control and missile target seeker based on this paper, the main researchresults obtained are as follows:Expound the principle of fuzzy control in the process of universe change. Byanalyzing the main ideas and principles which proposed by Hongxing in VariableUniverse Fuzzy Control.Summary that the mathematical nature of the variable universefuzzy controller is the interpolator.Designed an improved variable domain of the input dilation factor. On the basis ofthe principle of variable universe fuzzy control, respectively, for several basic nature ofthe stretching factor, telescopic principle and simulation demonstration, draw severaldilation factor between the similarities and differences as well as the pros and cons.Summed up by analysis and comparison of its inadequacies, combined with the newretractable factor should have the characteristic of input coordination and rapidchangement. Factor in the original telescopic factor on the basis of design coordination,proved that the stretching of the form factor to meet the definition and fast andcoordination requirements. Dicuss the the nature of improved dilation factor, and theperformance of the controller in process control to adjust the simulation, the simulationresults prove its optimum regulation performance. Meanwhile, compared the robustperformance of several stretching factor controller simulation.Analysised the application of the missile guidance for the improved fuzzy controller.Introduced the improved input telescopic factor on variable universe fuzzy controllerinto the missile guidance loop, so the guided problem is transformed into a fuzzycontrol process. Respectively, for three typical target motor way, compared a basicguidance law and three kinds of fuzzy guidance law through simulation.,the improvedfuzzy guidance law has a small miss distance and interception time is shorter. Thereforthe improved guidance law have the advantages of accuracy, reduces the guidance time.New guidance law has a flatter trajectory than the other three fuzzy guidance law has asmaller line of sight angular rate,and France the acceleration than the proportionalnavigation guidance law. Improved variable universe fuzzy guidance law makes theoriginal guidance law performance improvement.
