The Study Of Technology On Banknote Based On Image Registration

The purpose of the banknote analysis technology is through analysis andunderstand banknote for the high reliability of banknote recognition andeffectively detect the authenticity，old and new,worn of banknote. Doing that toensure the safety and cleanness of banknote circulate in the market. Manycountries raise some higher requirements for the integrity and cleanness of thebanknote, because it represents the country’s development level of the economyand culture. With the great technological advances in color printing, duplicatingand scanning, the difficulty and cost of banknote counterfeiting are greatlyreduced. Counterfeiting problem have become more and more serious. All thesehave raised new challenges to the banknote analysis technology. Due to thebanknote’s relatively stable type of the print, to compare the detect banknote andthe reference banknotes is an effective method of banknote analysis. The maincontents are as follow:Firstly, banknote has both special structural characteristic and localinstability characteristic.This paper uses a hierarchical transformation model.The global deformation of the banknote image is modeled by an affinetransformation based on feature point, while the local image’s nonrigiddeformation is described by an FFD(free-form deformation model).Secondly, for the problems of the banknote recognition, the paper raises amethod for the identification of similar banknote based on image registration.This method achieves a high recognition accuracy in U.S. dollar and in someextent can avoid the impact of worn.Thirdly, for the infrared security image of banknote, raise the methodbased on edge information and based on grayscale histogram coefficientrespectively. Detecting different local key security feature and obtain a gooddetection result.Finally, in the process of degradation, the security image will become edgeintensity, the security pattern is blurred, in order to in order to overcome the interference of banknotes degradation for the security detection, we proposal anbanknotes analysis method of combination the old and new and the authenticityof banknote.
