As cloud and cloud computing technology’s emergency and development, a newvirtual operating system based on the browser may become the desktop. We call the newvirtual operating system WebOS. The network applications can run in the WebOS andprovides people with the same experiences when they use the traditional desktopapplications. A browser is an important desktop application, so a new web browser whoruns in another browser should be provided by WebOS.A web browser is a network application which runs in another browser. It has thecharacter as this:(1) It is a network application running in the WebOS;(2) The webbrowser focus to provide people with a better experience when people use it. The localbrowser is responsible for network transmission, page rendering, and script explanationand so on.(3) The web browser uses the cloud computing technology and saves the dataon the cloud terminal, making sure that the user can use the data at any time and anywhere.The web browser provides people with basic functions such as forwarding, backwarding, refreshing, addressing the input text area, recording history and saving bookmarks which can meet user’s basic needs for a browser. Additional, it should have thefunction as next:(1) It should break the local browser’s security restriction, making surethat the web browser can deal with the event which will open a new page.(2) Breakingthe local browser’s security restriction, the web browser can save and recover the cookiedata.(3) It protects the user’s privacy data and only deal with the encrypted data.This paper designs a web browser which is developed on the eyeOS. The localbrowser uses the open source browser engine WebKit. In order to implementation theweb browser, we modify the WebKit code.
