The modern electronic systems, especially in the field of spaceflight、aviationtechnology, the RF filter, which has the characteristics of small volume, light weight andhigh reliability, gets more and more attention and development. With the rapid expansionof today’s wireless communication technology, Due to the frequency resources of RFmicrowave band become more and more nervous, in order to make full use of the limitedresources, it is necessary to improve the performance of microwave circuit designeffectively. Filter has the effect of frequency conversion for the signal, so the filter’sperformance will directly affect the entire receiver’s performance. Therefore, to design theRF filter of small volume and high performance is one of the urgently problems to besolved in wireless communication system. This paper focuses the research on the basic theory of coupled microstrip lineband-pass filter and the design method.Firstly, through analyzing the basic process of lumped parameter design, get thetransformation method from lumped element to the distribution of element. At the sametime, using simulation software ADS to design bandpass filter, which was worked on the100MHz and the bandwidth of5MHz. And the subsequent filter design was laid on thefoundation of engineering design;Secondly, in combination with the fundamental principle of harmonic oscillator andthe designed method with the lumped parameter, to optimize and tune the main technicalparameters of filter in engineering design, this paper has designed a resonant couplingfilter with high Q value, which suitable for narrow-band bandpass filter. Compared thisdata with the actual engineering data, the results show that the filter design scheme isfeasible. Finally, on the issue of designing filter is hard to determine the parameters andperformance indicators at all levels was low, this paper This paper proposes a newintegrated design method which was based on a half wavelength microstrip bandpass filterdesign principle, combined with the advanced microwave circuit simulation software ADS and design method, to design a half wave microstrip line coupled bandpass filter withsmall volume, high stability, to make it accord with the requirement of engineering design.
