With the rapid development of the Internet of things, it is studied and applied bymore and more enterprises and scholars. The EPC Internet of things is one of thetypical solutions of the Internet of Things in the world. As one of the important partsof the EPC Internet of things, the EPC information services (EPCIS) can receive queryrequests from the client application and returns the corresponding information to it. Itcan support the business partners to exchange EPC data through the network. In viewof the present situation that the EPC Internet of things is applied to more and moreareas and EPC information services needs to storage and processing of massive data,this article will explore and research the query mechanism of EPC informationservices.First of all, based on the understanding of the structure of EPC Internet of Thingsand the function of each part of the it, this article deeply research the operationprinciple and query mechanism of the EPC information services, discuss the main taskand function of it and analysis the layer structure of the EPC information services.Secondly, in view of the present situation that there is higher and higher need forthe query efficiency of the EPC information services, this article put forward a querymechanism of EPC information services which based on cache, through caching setsof query results, reducing the counts of client application access to the EPCIS database,shorting the response time, then to improve the query efficiency of EPC informationservices.Thirdly, through analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the existingcache replacement algorithm, summarizing the influence factors on the performance ofthe cache, putting forward a cache replacement algorithm which based on costfunction. By calculating the cost function values it decided the sequence of the queryresult sets to be swapped out. Improve of the performance of the cache and furtherimprove the efficiency of the EPC information services query mechanism which basedon cache. Finally, through the simulation experiment to confirm whether it will improve thesearch efficiency of the system after join the caching mechanism. Implement the cachereplacement algorithm which based on the cost function and compare the performanceof it with several classical cache replacement algorithms, then analysis theperformance of the algorithm based on the experimental results.
