Research On Web People Search Engine

With the development of web, web information is growing at an exponential rate,although the traditional search engines can provide users with information retrievalservices, it is difficult to provide users with the comprehensive personal informationbecause of the massive and redundancy retrieval results, this paper designed andimplemented a web people search engine to solve this problem based on the research ofpersonal information extraction.The main task of this paper is:(1) According to the features of the web personal information, this paper proposed amethod of extracting information of social relation of persons based on the search engine,which combines the relation’s key words with the test name sets and submits them to thesearch engine to obtain related personal name sets using personal name recognitiontechnology. Then, the test names and related personal names are related to get thedescriptive patterns iteratively. At last，we analysis the effect of matching the related name,test name with the descriptive pattern to fix the related person.(2) The relationship visualization is applied. Based on the study of informationvisualization, this paper achieves a visual model of personal relations, which shows thecomplex personal relations in a simple way. Through the design of the interaction diagram,the relationship visualization changes according to time, which take users’ interactionneeds into account.(3) A web people search engine is designed. According to the multidimensionalpersonal information, this paper designs a personal index structure, and uses this indexstructure to organize the allover personal information such as social relations, personprofiles, and news. The people search engine provides a comprehensive, holistic searchresult of personal information.Features and innovations of this paper: propose a method of extracting information ofsocial relation of persons for the flood of Internet information, the method’s averageprecision and recall are over85%, which means the method has good practice value; usethe visualization technology to achieve the visual search for the personal relationsaccording to the time change, which helps users to grasp the overall social personalrelations.
