Bandelet transform is a new image processing technology, application is veryextensive, it makes up the Wavelet transform’s shortcomings, that cannot effectivelydeal with the high dimensional signal,and it is easy to realize. Based on the study ofWavelet transform,1generation Bandelet transform, and2generation Bandelettransform, this paper did some meaningful work. The main work of this paper are asfollows:This papers studied the process and principle of Wavelet transform,1generationBandelet transform and2generation Bandelet transform, then mainly analyzes theprinciple, theoretical framework and implementation of2generation Bandelet transform;Analysis the shortcomings of2generation Bandelet transform that processing speed isslow and the result is not accurate. For this, this paper proposed some new algorithms toprocess image, the experiments show that the speed of processing is quick and the resultis accurate;The improved2generation Bandelet transform was applied to the imagecompression, image denoising and image enhancement, and compared with the Wavelettransform, then the experimental results were given; Detailed studied the relatedknowledge of curve and surface, mainly studied the knowledge and the application ofB-spline surface; After studied the related knowledge of the B-spline surface, this papermainly described the decomposition and the reconstruction using the2generationBandelet transform. Experiments show that the proposed Bandelet algorithm in imageand b-spline curved surface processing has more advantages than previous algorithm.
