Along with the advancement of new curriculum reform, the corresponding changes have taken place in our high school chemistry experiment system, and gradually formed a new experiment system to adapt to the curriculum. Thought experiment in practice in the high school chemistry teaching, simulation experiment goes with modern information technology is embodied in the modern chemistry teaching. But the feedback through the questionnaire survey found that high school for first-line teachers "thought experiment" understanding certain deficiencies, often only pay attention to "simulation" visualizations and visualization, ignored the essence of the use of "simulation" teaching purpose and meaning.This study will from detailed combing application of thought experiment in various fields, we summed up the essence of the characteristics of the thought experiment and the simulation experiment;And according to the type of simulation experiment and its role in the teaching process teaching design can be divided into the following three categories:before the experiment, to explore the type, review, research according to the simulation experiment in the application of the high school chemistry teaching. In order to more clear understanding of the connotation of the simulation, simulation experiment teaching functions, coordinate simulation experiment and the conventional teaching, so as to be just right to help students to understand the chemical concept, principle, training students’experimental thinking.
