This study shows People Education Press(Edition A) and Hunan Education Press series of high school mathematics teaching material about sequence as the research objects, from the three aspects of content structure, cases of problem sets, content features, using literature analysis, content analysis, statistical analysis, comparative research, quantitative research and qualitative analysis. It comes to the conclusion of the commonness and difference of these two editions as follow:1. The content structure(1) Directory:the directory title sequence is consistent; The title of People Education Press(Edition A) is divided in detail.(2)Column:the columns are diversified; People Education Press(Edition A) guides students to think actively.(3) Narrator:the narrator of the two types is both rich; People Education Press(Edition A) has good affinity, the form of Hunan Education Press is simple.(4) Introduction:the two introductions both concentrate on the main points; People Education Press(Edition A) pays attention to the problem, and the material life; Hunan Education Press is interesting.(5) The end of the chapter summary:both of the summaries are succinct; People Education Press(Edition A) pays attention to the subjectivity of students; Hunan Education Press pays attention to the guidance of learning methods. 2. Example problems(1) The number of examples:Hunan Education Press shows about twice as many examples as People Education Press(Edition A).(2) Exercise:the exercises of both editions are almost the same in amount; the exercise type is rich, answers to questions occupy majority; the exercises without background or about social life occupied most. Hunan Education Press pays attention to basic and comprehensive ability; People Education Press(Edition A) pays attention to the consolidation of knowledge.3. The content characteristics(1) The introduction of the concept:from the particular to the general, guide students to explore the characteristics of sequence by daily-life examples. People Education Press(Edition A) chooses the concept of abundant examples to conclude the arithmetic sequence, Hunan Education Press has less instance.(2) The connections to the math knowledge:Both pay attention to sequence, function, and their links to algorithm; People Education Press(Edition A) involves calculus thought and pays attention to guide students to actively explore and understands the sequence of real number form.(3) The integration with modern information technology:both achieve the integration of sequence and information technology.The bright point and the innovation point of the paper is to use the lists, bar charts, histograms, line graphs comparison showed the differences of two versions, intuitive and easy to understand, is helpful to the analysis of the two focus.Finally, this paper offers further written advice of series of high school mathematics teaching materials in sequence contents.
