| In1978December, China completely implemented the economic reform and the police of reform and opening, based on this, the small and medium-sized enterprises had a rapid development. After thirty years’development, SMEs have become an important force in China’s economic development, affecting the direction of China’s economy. However, on the other hand, the statistical results showed that SMEs in China following the road that developing in first year, flourishing in second year, closing down in third year. The short life of SMEs have become a notable economic and social phenomenon. Since the nineteen ninety age, Chinese scholars pay attention to the influence of social capital to the SMEs, they find that the SMEs need social capital to have financial benefits, to promote development of enterprise. The series questions that the SMEs how to use the social capital in their cycle and how to transform their social capital are still worth our further study and explore.Based on the review of enterprise’s life cycle and the enterprise’s social capital, the study use the combination of interviews and participant observation method, to operate a case study, the case is an estate enterprise in Chongqing. The study analyzes the development and present situation of the case object’s life cycle, based on that, the study analyzes the major role of different social capital in the various stages, and how to convert the different form of social capital. Then, the study tend to find the main reason that the absence of social capital in the case object, and put forward relevant suggestions to establish the SMEs’social capital, and to provide some opinions of utilizing the SMEs social capital. Results and conclusion including:1〠In early life, the individual primary social capital of business owners plays a decisive role in the development of enterprise. On the one hand, the characteristics of Chinese tradition make the business owner believe and rely on their individual primary social capital; on the other hand, because of the imperfection of national policies, and not in place of the service system, business owner can only rely on their primary social capital to develop the SMEs.2〠When the company entered a period of rapid development, the business owners should reduce their dependence on their personal primary social capital, they should utilize the second social capital. Their own personal primary social capital are limited, once the enterprise start to have a rapid development, the SMEs should break this limitation. Objectively, we must rely on second social capital.3〠If the SMEs want to break out its’limiting in the mature period development, they should get rid of the personal social capital, while focus on their enterprise social capital.4〠It’s a long process to build the enterprise social capital from inside to the outside. The construction of enterprise social capital needs to keep entrepreneurial spirit, needs to create competitive advantage, to complete the management by man to rule by law, and enhance corporate visibility. |
