It is not only the main method of school moral education work to set an example for students, but also it is important to students’ healthy growth and success guarantee. Examples have an extremely important influence on student growth process with guiding demonstration, and promotes student learning the quality of noble. The students can induce the formation of high moral qualities with set an example; it is to help achieve a good moral affection through investigations and analysis of selecting examples for middle school students.In the first chapter of this article, firstly we reclassify that the concept of the example is defined as that have the positive influence and force for people with spontaneous set up by outside forces, reflect the common code of ethics that people agreed in a certain period and on behalf of the mainstream values, selected by the state and society spontaneously, encourage people to learn to imitate and form the representative people in the noble quality. Secondly the origin and development of example are summarized and generalized, finished origin of an example from three aspects in the organization, cultural backgrounds of social and asexual enlightenment. According to the example of the different countries need in different stages of development, it is summed up in three stages:the before and after of the new China, the period of socialist construction and the new era. Studies have shown that the development of an example has the following rules:the unique spirit is reflected from examples, there are characteristics of the times in the selection of example, with the development of the times, excellent quality of examples varied from country to society as the main body and then to the individual as the main body. Thirdly example is classified by different standard and a summary and analysis of the example with the characteristics of moral guidance, positive, representativeness, demonstrations, etc. In the second chapter, examples is the object that is imitated according to the inherent value. It is interpreted the intrinsic value of examples into three aspects. Intrinsic value is represented in three areas:examples carries the noble quality and develops a vision for the future, selected examples in line with students’psychological development mechanism and the value of examples agree with the value choice of middle school students.It is investigated how the choice of example of middle school students in the third chapter, these probably expand from two dimensions:the influence of examples in textbook for students and the situation in choosing examples by being student s own master. In the first part, combing examples through literature searches that state and society established for young people since the founding of New China. In the second part, high school students were surveyed in the form of questionnaires. First, we understand the examples that students remember in textbooks. We know that students practice the situation on the excellent quality of examples and students give a suggestion for selecting example in textbooks. Second, after statistical analysis of the questionnaire, we know that students select examples spontaneously; Students practice the excellent quality that examples have and awareness and understanding of the relationship between idol and role model. The answer about examples in the textbook, the survey results show that, writers, scientists have a large proportion. In the survey of influential for the students from examples in textbooks, the impact is uneven trend; Students prefer to select examples that exist in real life and close to real life. Under the joint action of the idol and role model, some students are more inclined to model that is internally and externally, some tend to seek more close to real life and tends to comprehensive, wide-ranging and multi-level selection. In the investigation about students select examples, understanding of students become rational on the relationship between examples and idols; Students prefer excellent quality, such as perseverance, self-confidence, courage and so on. Students rely more on electronic media and books compared to the real people in terms of media. Secondly, we can find from the survey that there are some problems during the process of selecting the examples such as Learning and practicing is inconsistency, students without a high degree of conviction, examples become not popular in the family and so on. Finally this thesis describes three reasons of middle school students selecting the examples. First reason is bad behavior of the examples. The second one is ignoring the training of moral emotion. The third one is bad influence of media.In the last chapter, optimized example for middle school students and explore some countermeasures. With the increasing development of online media, the school education has had an impact for diversification of media culture. Selecting the example has an important influence on affection of moral education. In most cases, educators select examples for students, but in the learning process, students do not pay the same act that examples guided, lacking of coordination between the students’cognitive and behavioral is an important issue for the majority of educators. In this regard, I believe that the following aspects should strive for moral education advice. In school, students should be respected and highlight the subjectivity of students. Within the family, parents should strengthen moral education for students in participation. In the part of selecting the examples environment for students, firstly, people should focus on "quality" and "quantity" and then followed by the establishment of a model group in the interaction between students and groups to motivate and encourage students to form a good personality.Finally, it should establish a scientific mechanism for example selection to improve scientific Nature of example selection and learning by reference scales.
