Mathematical Procrastination means students don’t complete or finish hastily clear mathematical tasks until the deadline and it is always accompanied by discomfortable feeling such as anxiety, guilt and so on. The development of students’ mathematical thinking and independent personality is hindered."Procrastination" comes from the Latin word, meaning putting forward until tomorrow, but it has become a constant deferred behavior with heavier pejorative term. The study about academic procrastination from Solomon and Rothblum starts in1984.They surveyed college students’ academic procrastination through procrastination scale. We began to pay attention to this research in recent years. Especially,the research about junior middle school students’ mathematics is very few. But mathematical procrastination exists in the junior middle school students generally. The form, characteristics, related factors, the solution of mathematical procrastination will be studied with the help of students from Beijing and Henan in this research. Firstly, I determine and compile the structure of mathematical procrastination scale for junior middle school students(the beta version) through reviewing the development history of procrastination, questionnaire investigations from students and consultations from teachers. Secondly, I compile mathematical procrastination scale for junior middle school students by CR analysis and determination. Then according to the principle of the principal component analysis method, I get five obstacle factors with the help of SPSS software and test the questionnaire reliability. The five obstacle factors are communication with outstanding professionals, time arrangement, objective preparation for exam, effective mathematical thinking,finish the homework initiatively. I determined standardized weights of five obstacle factors and calculate hinder factors formula according to Delphi. In accordance with the principle of combination of the two,we can get the Mathematical Procrastination Coefficient. Finally, students can overcome the mathematical difficulties through the guidance of the teachers and parents who analysis and research the mathematical procrastination scale. To verify the guiding significance, the study Provide a concrete instance analysis from Wuyue. The study shows the following conclusions:(1)The mathematical procrastination scale has good reliability and discrimination,and it is in line with the requirements of psychometrics. It can be used as a survey tool Junior Mathematics procrastination.(2)The factors related with the mathematical procrastination, effective mathematical thinking, time arrangement, finish the homework initiatively and objective preparation for exam from internal factors, communication with outstanding professionals from external factors, play important roles in calculating mathematics procrastination.(3)Mathematical Procrastination Coefficient and mathematics achievement is significant negative correlation. It provides an explanation for the copy homework phenomenon rampantly day by day. In fact, procrastination is in action. Therefore, it is an effective way to improve mathematical achievement and mathematical personality by reducing the Mathematical Procrastination Coefficient.
