| One of the biggest characteristics of school-based course is that it meets theneeds of localities, communities, schools and students. And local culture is theessence of time which grows out of the living environment, historical culture,individual consciousness, social values and so on. The curriculum resource it containsis not only local basic education but also an indispensable part of school-based courseof local colleges and universities.This paper tries to use the method of literature study to summarize thedevelopment of school-based course home and abroad, as well as the findings ofpractice research and potential resources of the existing school-based course ofBayu culture of local colleges and universities in Chongqing. Still the paper aims toanalyze the existing findings from perspectives of both culture and school-basedcourse.Secondly, questionnaire survey method combined with the training goal and thesocial service function of university talent demand is used to explore whether theschool-based course of the Bayu culture fits the needs of students, and analyzeadvantages and practical significance and value of offering the school-based course ofBayu culture in local colleges and universities in Chongqing.Then, this paper takes SISU (Sichuan International Studies University) as a casestudy, analyzing the implementation and existing problems of the school-based courseof Bayu culture, and summing up the effects and solutions.Finally, the paper makes a conclusion of the basic thought of the development ofthe school-based course of Bayu culture from three aspects of curriculumimplementation goal, content and development means. Still it re-examines the valueof local culture in school-based course in colleges and universities, and offersreference for the development of the school-based course of Bayu culture inChongqing. This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is an introduction, as the basis of this study, covers origin,purpose, significance and research method of the study. It is a summary of thedevelopment of school-based course and Bayu culture courses both home and abroad,and a statement of relevant concepts.The second part does research on the demand of the school-based course ofBayu culture to demonstrate its necessity, through analysis of objectives and functionsof universities and colleges, and through the questionnaire about the students’cognition and demand of this course.In the third part of this paper, SISU is taken as the research object to analyzeand summarize the effects and problems of Bayu culture course.The fourth part is the core of this paper. Countermeasures to problems in theimplementation of Bayu culture course in SISU are used to illuminate goal, nature,content and means of development of the school-based course of Bayu culture in thelocal colleges and universities in Chongqing.The fifth part states the conclusion and outlook of the development ofschool-based course. |
