Special-post teacher is the vital force to improve the quality of Rural Compulsory Education, and their professional development should be payed more attention. Because of having the same characteristics of rural teachers and beginning teachers, the professional development activities of Special-post teacher are special. Based on questionnaire survey and aside by open interviews, the research have analyzed the actual state of the professional development activity from the aspects of the consciousness of self-professional development needs、opportunities、 conditions、approaches、methods、difficulties and puzzles. And the research also analyze the differences between different groups, including genders、marital status、record of formal schooling before inductio、type of education having received、time of induction、type of coaching school.Based on the investigation, the research gained the following conclusions.1. Special-post teacher have high consciousness of self-professional development and needs, and knowledge and ability of teaching practice and education scientific research are mostly needed;2.Special-post teacher are short of opportunities and conditions;3.The approaches and methods of professional development of Special-post teacher are diversity, and Special-post teacher tend to fumble by themselves.4. Most Special-post teacher is in mental and physical exhaustion and all at a loss;5. Women Special-post teachers have higher consciousness of self-professional development and needs than men Special-post teachers;6.Married Special-post teachers have gained more opportunities than un-married Special-post teachers;7.The Special-post teachers have Bachelor’s degree gained more opportunities and conditions than the ones have College degree;8.the Special-post teachers inducting in2011have the lowest consciousness of self-professional development and needs among all the Special-post teachers.The reaserch perform an analysis on cause of formationon of the current situation of the professional development activities of Special-post teachers, and the reaserch also maked a disscusion on three prominent problem. Based on the analysis and disscusion, the reaserch put forward proposals to promote Special-post teachers participate in professional development from aspects of environment、continuing education and ability of in dependent developmence of teacher.
