Textbook is the embodiment of curriculum standards. It is an important part of the teaching implementation process and expresses the course contents, so that textbook plays an important role in teaching activities. Taking current senior high schools’ philosophy textbooks as an example, this thesis mainly analyzes the characteristics and the main problems of current philosophy textbooks, and puts forward the corresponding suggestions and advices to solve these problems.This project is divided into3parts. Compared with version1996, the first part analyzes current philosophy textbooks’characteristics. Based on the conclusion of characteristics of what specific contents show, this project tries to emphasize on the textbook writing innovativeness, living times of contents, and the way of showing novel style.The second part concludes the main problems of current philosophy textbooks through analysis on teaching contents, edition systems and words and pictures expression. This project uses the methods of combining quantitative and qualitative analysis. Through the analyzing on textbooks and researching in Wuhan No.14Middle School, Wuxiang First Middle School (Shanxi) and Qixian Middle School (Shanxi), problems such as short of accuracy in contents, lack of scientificity in edition systems and out of serious in words and pictures expression...etc. are found in current philosophy textbooks.Against these main problems, the third part puts forward suggestions to further consummate philosophy textbooks. This thesis mainly proposes advices from4aspects. Firstly, textbooks’compilation and modification system should be consummated. Secondly, textbooks’review and approval system should also be consummated. Thirdly, the scientificity of the contents should be enhanced. And fourthly, textbooks’writers should be optimized.Fifthly, enhance teachers’ability to use creative teaching materials.
