A Research Of Social Work Intervention On The Phenomenon Of80s’ Staying At Home

With the development of modern society and internet technology, more and more people prefer to stay at home. Among these people,80’s are a group of people who attract much attention. They never come out of home and refuse to communicate with the outer-world. They stay at home mostly for these interests. Nowadays, the bad effects of staying at home over-time have occurred. Some of them have no idea of how to communicate with others, some fail many times when dating boys or girls, some make no progress as they don’t know how to express themselves. How to use professional method of social work effectively to help those80’s who have difficulty in integrating into the society gets more and more important today. Therefore, the research of80’s who always stay at home and ways to intervene the problem seems to be with great value.By doing research in literature and interviews, there are several discoveries and enlightenments in the interpersonal communicating effect and intervening of social work.Firstly, for the reason why80’s like staying at home, this thesis discusses from three dimensions, the environment, the technology and80’s themselves. From the discussion come several factors, autistic, pressure, contradiction, family environment, study environment, internet development and the variety of communication mode.Secondly, in the effect of80s’ staying at home, the thesis discusses both from the positive and negative sides. The discussion stresses on the negative side. It lists four aspects, knowledge acknowledgement, socialization, psychology and physiology.Thirdly, the thesis put forward the method of intervening of social work to help this special group "out of home" and improve their ability of adjusting to different environment. Thus they can integrate into the society. The thesis gives an analysis to the necessity and tendency of intervening of social work. By introducing two cases, make argument on the feasibility of intervening of social work to deal with "80s’ staying at home". When choosing the method, this thesis prefers case work and community work. The thesis also introduces four modes of social work, task-oriented mode, narrative cure mode, region development mode and social planning mode.
