Teachers’ professional development is the goal of education reform, the teachers’ professional development is more and more brought to the attention of the educational circles. Teachers’ professional development is the personal growth process, the development process affected by many factors, such as personal, environmental factors, it is also the result of the teachers’ professional life and personal interaction, teachers’ professional development through the whole process of teachers’ personal career, in the process, the teacher the stage development the self-realization, through the school and the school provides a system of teachers’ professional development, culture, such as security, therefore, to say the school environment for teachers’ professional development has the vital role. While in rural areas, due to the rural poor teaching conditions, teachers’ professional development opportunities are limited, in rural areas, individual teacher professional development mainly depend on the condition of the school to provide. So, the level of rural teachers’ professional development to a certain extent reflects the level of teachers’ professional development in our country.On the basis of literature research at home and abroad, this study through interview survey and the theoretical research method, to the rural teachers’ professional development present situation and the obstacles were studied. The current rural teachers in complex background, teachers’ work pressure, life there is very little time for their own professional development; Rural teachers to participate in professional training opportunities is not much, enough. Rural teachers’ professional development, the cooperation of the professional development of primary and secondary schools, school-based research, professional development and urban cooperation all face different obstacles such as professional development; This is mainly because the rural teachers’ self-development consciousness and ability is insufficient, insufficient school related management science, the development of the rural teachers’ lack of social support. Therefore, this article suggested:the reform of teacher management system, and its self-development motivation; Teacher development mode innovation, improve the efficiency of their professional development; Improved means of teacher development, expand its access to the resources; Teachers all work, ensure the professional development time, comprehensively promote rural teacher’s professional development.
