| Teacher professional morals and ethics are one of the basic professional qualities that PE teachers should have. From the perspective of research, this thesis aim to describe the current situation of teachers’morals and ethnics in middle school. PE teachers and students, as subjects in this research, were selected randomly from3key middle schools and7non-key middle schools in DeZhou city. Through this research, we have a comprehensive understanding of the current situation of PE teachers’morals and ethnics. In addition, this thesis analyzed the results and pointed out potential reasons. At last, several suggestions were proposed.In this thesis, three main method were adopted:the literature consulting, questionnaire granting and interviewing. According to2008"primary and secondary school teachers’professional ethics", we designed " professional ethics questionnaire for middle school PE teachers in DeZhou", consisting of two independent parts, one for students and the other for teachers, with specification of six dimensions. And this questionnaire has been proved that it has a relatively good reliability and validity.Results:we can conclude that the current situation of PE teachers’morals and ethnics is worrying, and the main problems are listed in following:PE teachers are bored with their jobs and PE teachers have some action of accepting bribes; PE teachers have a relatively low quality and they do not pursuit further improvement; PE teachers also lack care and love for their students.After analysis of existing problems, we speculated the potential reasons:(1) PE teachers have a low social status and economic income.(2) The low qualities of PE teachers are some key factors.(3) The notion of market economy has some negative impact on PE teachers.(4) The construction of teachers’morality was just a form, without any real contents.(5) Some inappropriate behaviors of students and parents caused PE teachers’wrongdoings. Some suggestions for improvement:(1) When recruiting and selecting PE teachers, shool recruiters should first consider their morals and ethnics.(2) The government workers should promote the notion of respect for teachers, and improve the social status of PE teachers and their economic incomes.(3) Both government workers and people should pay more attention and give more care to PE teachers.(4) PE teachers also should improve their own quality.(5) Schools should optimize the ethics construction mechanism.(6) Putting an end to the improper behaviors of students and their parents, shools should adopt some measures to help to form a friendly relationship between teachers and parents. |
