Information book has drawn scholars’ attention abroad long before, and plenty ofrelevant research about it has been done, while domestic scholars pay little attentionto it, and only a few scholars do research from the specific teaching method ofinformation book or the benefit that information book brings to nursery.To begin with, this research introduces the concept, characteristics, scientificqualities, content classification of information book and significance that it brings.The main body consists of current situation investigation, summary of problems,analysis of reasons and teaching strategies.This research selects six kindergartens in Jinan at random, makes a survey of108questionnaires, interviews twelve kindergarten teachers and selects at random classteaching of information book to observe and take notes, and then make a survey andanalyze the understandings of information book and class teaching of informationbook, the selection, goal location, teaching practice and assessment amongkindergarten teachers. The research results are just as follows: firstly, kindergartenteachers has less deep understandings of information book and its class teaching, anddon‘t realize the significance that information book plays on nursery and the lack ofability of picture book teaching. Secondly, the selection of materials that readingteaching needs mainly depends on kindergarten teachers themselves and kindergartenteachers pay no attention to nursery’ s needs. Thirdly, the goal location of informationbook overemphasizes the mastery of knowledge and skills, and ignores the demandsof emotions and attitude etc. Fourthly, the teaching model is stiff and cannot satisfydifferent information book’s teaching. Fifthly, the goal of teaching assessment is toprovide better instruction for nursery and the assessment method is single. Based onthe present situation problems, this research analyzes the reasons from the followingaspects: kindergarten teachers’ literary appreciation, the disjunction betweenkindergarten teachers’ teaching faith and their teaching practice, occupation burnoutof kindergarten teachers and the ignorance of relevant kindergarten leaders. Efficient reading teaching of information book needs kindergarten teachers to do these things,just as follows: firstly, rich reading environment of information book should beprovided for nursery. Secondly, the materials that are selected should satisfy nursery’sinterest and be related to nursery’s life experience, and matches nursery’s age. Thirdly,the goal location of teaching should be reasonable and all-round. Fourthly, the classteaching of information book should be scientific and interesting. Fifthly, theassessment method should be comprehensive, polybasic and benefit nursery’s furtherdevelopment.
