The teaching of writing is the key point as well as the difficult point in teaching of the highschool language, meanwhile, the score weight of the writing is also very high in theuniversity entrance examination, which arise the attention of teacher, student, parent and eventhe people of all circles. Teacher usually pay more attention to the instruction of writing skillsduring the teaching, which involves more instruction of the teacher than the participation of thestudent, and leads to the ignorance of the interaction between teacher and student, student andstudent. The correction workload of the teacher is so high. As a result, the efficiency of theteaching is low with barely payback. The small group cooperation method was studied in thispaper, to shorten the circle of writing, improve the writing efficiency, sparkle the interest ofstudent, fully exert positive influence from the group member, and then mobilize the initiativeand participation. The application of this method was fully investigated during the writingteaching activity of the high school.To gain the in-depth understanding of the current situation of high school student writingand the corresponding teaching activity, anonymous questionnaire survey method was used tocarry out a random survey which involved students and teachers from grade one to three of NO.1High School, Zhu Cheng, Shandong Provence. The result showed that the following problemsduring writing teaching activity, the students’ requirement was not concerned during the choiceof the writing topic, little chance was offered for the student, the interest of the student wasn’taroused for the single pattern of the class and the deficiency of the interaction. The survey fromthe student also showed that the passion for writing wasn’t lit, the channel for materialaccumulation was few, the influence from the partner was ignored and the enthusiasm forwriting was restrained by the too much rule restrictions.Based on the survey feedback, combined with related literature searching and reading, thenecessity and the theoretical basis of the small group cooperation during writing teachingactivity for high school was discussed in this paper. Classroom observation was used duringthe teaching of the high school language writing. After scientific and reasonable small groupwas set up, the application of small group cooperation in the diary, essay and composition was mainly studied. Through the small group cooperation, the class log and private diary wereassigned and the contents of the diary or the weekly essay could be decided by studentthemselves. The writing pattern was enriched, the interest was cultivated and the enthusiasmwas motivated. The writing load was increased and the initiative was returned to the student.Meanwhile, the channel for the accumulation of writing material was broaden, the good writinghabits was formed, the role of partner was given full play, the student was stimulated to studyand practice hard, which guarantee that every student got balanced improvement. To make theinnovation of the writing correction, the evaluation was made between the group members ordifferent group, thus liberate the teacher from the heavy work load of the writing correction andthe enthusiasm of the teaching was set off. During the composition writing, the initiative ofstudent for topic analysis and theme establishment was emphasized in this paper. Substantialraw material was offered to each group, and the training for topic analysis and themeestablishment was carried out to find the better method and angle for topic analysis, then itwas discussed among groups. Through the instruction from the teacher, the method wassummarized by all the students. Practice result demonstrated that the teaching efficiency couldbe significantly improved through small group cooperation. Case study method was finally usedthrough the example of the teaching case of small group cooperation during the writing of diary,essay and composition.
