Life Education is the activities to teach life-related knowledge,it guides studentsunderstanding themselves, digging the positive force, learning how to view events and solveproblem from a positive perspective,and ultimately becoming self-realization.At the sametime, it also guides students to link self-development with social development, learn how torespect others, how to respect nature.In recent years, life education has been attracted by more and more countries andregions.Many experts have explored the theory of life education and teaching practice. So far,the study of life education have been involved in groups of all ages,.It has formed a completeteaching system. School life education began in the lower primary stage and ended at the levelof college. But for lower primary students,life education focuses on the training of students’safety awareness and good study habits, it rarely involves the meaning of life perception.So, itcan not be called life education in the strict sense. And life education on upper primary isrelated to the self and others, which is dominated by the regularity of individual physicaldevelopment.So life education in the strict sense is on the upper primary. Only if it begins onthe upper primary stage, life education on all ages will seem significant and complete.At present, the theory and practice of life education is mostly conducted from theperspective of education, and it has made some achievements. But most life educationconduct from moral lessons, classes will, infiltration and other forms. It has not formed acomplete life teaching system. With national attention on mental health education in teenagers,it carries a new view on life education. It not only consists with the characteristics of physicaland mental development but also with a complete and technology system.Positive psychology is an emerging field of psychology, it focuses on positive qualities,positive emotional experience and the creation of positive scenes which Coincides with thedevelopment of education and potential of individual life. In this study, we use a positivepsychology perspective to design the life education curriculum on upper primary.The study is divided into two parts, one part is about the theory of life education on theupper primary,the other part is about the designing of life education curriculum. The first part calls”the theoretical basis of life education on upper primary”. It showsthe concept of human life and propose the philosophical foundation of life education at frist.And then, it introduces the theory, the development, the present situation and trend of lifeeduction on upper primary. In the end, it analyzes the necessity of higher grades’ life eductionand shows the strengths about using positive psychology as a theoretical guide.The second part calls “The designing of education curriculum on upper primary stage”. Ituses positive psychology theory with life education characteristics on the basis of theoreticalresearch to design teaching objectives, teaching content and teaching environment.The courses are divided into three modules which are called “The knowledge oflife”“The reverence for life”“How to enhance the quality of life”.“The knowledge of life”requires students to understand the origin of life, the personality strengths and weaknesses andother inherent psychological traits with a positive, comprehensive understanding. It can helpus form a stable, healthy self values,it also can stimulate individual well-being and themotivation to pursue the meaning of life.“The reverence for Life” requires individuals tolearn how to respect others, how to live with social, family, nature in harmony. It also teachesus to find their own values in society and to promote subjective well-being.“How to enhancethe quality of life” asks people to learn good habits and increase the ability about solvingproblems. It also asks us to learn active thinking, active growth and develop short-termgrowth objectives in order to enhance the subjective well-being. Under the guidance of threeobjectives, we use a variety of forms to design the curriculum. It help students deepen theunderstanding of life by personal involvement in the classroom. And the teachers can alsoresearch life eduction through a variety of programs on education.The last part of study chooses three lessons in three modules to practice and show.
