The task-based teaching which the English curriculum advocates has become a hot topicin the academic research in our country.Task-based teaching in Yong’an No.9Middle Schoolhas put this teaching theory into practice. So in this process, what has the task-based teachingbrought to Yong’an No.9Middle School English teaching; What are the attitude andunderstanding about task-based teaching in Yong’an No.9Middle School; Has task-basedteaching really changed the English teaching in Yong’an No.9Middle School. Thesequestions are worth studying. Therefore, the author thinks that it is necessary to do a researchto investigate the task-based teaching in Yong’an No.9Middle School.Based on the above questions, the author in this study has gone over relevant domesticand foreign literature about task-based teaching. From September2012to January2013, theauthor made an investigation and a research of the current situation of the implementation oftask-based teaching in Yong’an No.9Middle School. A total of100students and teachers inClass2Grade8and Class1Grade8have taken part in the research. Each class has five classesevery week. Class1used the task-based teaching method, while class2used the traditional3Pteaching methods. Through experiment, interview and questionnaire survey method, theauthor got data for SPSS analysis. The experimental results show that Willis’s framework oftask-based teaching has promoted the English teaching level in Yong’an No.9Middle Schooland improved the students’ English and teachers’ teaching skill.The research findings indicate that TBLT teaching can improve the students’ learningabilities in rural schools.The students after the experiment have much more interests inEnglish learning.
