Relationship Of Urban Population Structure, Population Quality And Innovation Ability

In the21st century, countries and regions are facing the keen competition, innovation which becomes the breakthrough in various fields valued by countries and regions who attach importance to apply the innovation theory in development planning and economic exploiting in the national and regional level. The urban innovation ability becomes the reflection which represents the ability of integration and restructuring of a city or a region therewith. Population, as the most basic elements of development, has profound and lasting influence in all aspects. Whether the configuration of the general population structure (including natural structure, social structure, geographical structure) and population quality is reasonable impacts on the long-term planning direction and development prospects of a city, a region and a country.At present, researches on urban innovation and demographic among domestic and foreign scholars are refine and ripe, but the understanding of the relationship of population structure, population quality and urban innovation ability is limit. However, this research is meaningful for the economic development, policy formulating and industrial restructuring of a city, a region and a country, which will become a hot topic in various fields in the future.This paper makes a empirical analysis on population structure, population quality and urban innovation ability of50selected cities in China. From the micro perspective, analyze the natural population structure, social population structure and geographical population structure, measure and calculate the evaluation indicators of population quality and urban innovation ability of50selected cities with PCA. From macroscopically view of point, analyze the relationship of the natural population structure, social population structure, geographical population structure and urban innovation ability as well as the relationship of general population structure and urban innovation ability with linear regression. In addition, analyze the development coordination degree of population quality and urban innovation ability of50selected cities with the deviation coefficient minimum coordination degree model. As the conclusion of this paper, there is an inevitable connection of population structure, population quality and urban innovation ability.
