With the continuous development of human society and the coming of the information age, the traditional educational ideas and educational mode is experienceing an enormous evolution.Education is also increasing emphasis on the reality of the students, advocating the prominent student’s subject status and cultivating all-round development of people. Education to the students as the main body has quietly entered the classroom.However, as a key part of cultivating high-quality talents for country, higher education reform is ongoing, but the traditional teaching concept and teaching model has not been a substantial change. Students receive the knowledge passively remains uncommon phenomenon. Students’innovative spirit and resilience is still a gap compared with a world-class university students.In this context, the idea of participatory teaching can be spawned. Participatory teaching emphasizes learner-centered, active exploration, joint with the purpose of the current popular trend coincides of the subjectivity Education, has a relatively far-reaching significance in deepening the reform of higher education, improving the ability level of university students.On the basis of the full study of the theory of participatory teaching and the rapid development of communication technology, firstly, this study demonstrates the necessity and feasibility of college students to participate in teaching by using communication technology. From this part of the study in addition to theoretical analysis of the necessity of participatory teaching at the national policy requirements, teaching reform needs and desire of teaching practice, but also takes the form of a questionnaire survey of college students prefer teaching methods, like the classroom atmosphere as well as aspects of the use of modern communication devices, etc. were investigated.The results showed that most students prefer liberal democracy, by their own participation in the classroom environment, and have a higher proportion of mobile phones and other communication devices. These provide a realistic possibility for the students to participate in ICT-basing.Secondly, based on the theoretical argument on the necessity and feasibility,this study constructe a theoretical model of college students involved in teaching based on the communication technologies. This part is the core of this study. The author based on the rules and characteristics of the teaching process will be divided the teaching process into three parts: before teaching, implementation of teaching, after teaching. According to the characteristics and tasks of each part,it’s to plan and design a flow chart how to use communications technology participating teaching for teachers and students and to undertake a detailed introduction the role and tasks of teachers and students in every aspect.Lastly, the teaching model were practically demonstrated. In this study, an example of social software QQ, it shows that teaching mode can be effectively implemented. Students are more willing to take the initiative to participate in the study. In addition to, participatory teaching also subtly improve students’ cooperative learning, self-learning ability and critical thinking skills. Research shows that the teaching model has some applicability and practicality.But it also has some drawbacks. According to the appeared inadequate, the author gives the corresponding strategy.This study demonstrated the dual theory and practice, confirmed the teaching model has advantages in changing the traditional teaching concepts.It can enhance the status of the student body, improve the status of teaching separation. Alternatively, it offers a choice of teaching, has a certain reference value for changing the way of developing the college students.
