This paper points out two ubiquitous problems in the mathematics exercises teachingin Senior Three at the beginning, that is, the randomness in selecting exercises and theinability to do the exercise while students understand the principles. Then, constructivism,cognitive psychology and curriculum standards of high school mathematics are combinedtogether in this paper to analyse these two problems and to put forward the followingsuggestions: first, help students form a good knowledge structure and problemrepresentative; second, seek the solutions naturally; third, expose both teachers andstudents’thinking process; fourth, lead students to reflect on what they have just finished.Besides, it also explains the rules for selecting exercises: typicality, novelty, diversity,procedure, relevance and divergence. Finally, based on what is mentioned above, thispaper offers two examples for reference and it has been proved that the strategiesproposed helps to improve the exercises teaching greatly, thus providing teachers withvaluable suggestions.
