| Baima Tibetan is an ethnic group which has language without words, and it has a long history and splendid culture.Their national cultural identity is different to Tibetan’s language, religion, and customs. In recent years, with the development of society, its traditional patterns of marriage and marriage concept are gradually changing. For the phenomenon intermarriage of Baikal Tibetan between Han is showing a gradually increasing trend since the start the eighties of last century. Change in the form of their marriage, reflecting the more harmonious of ethnic relations between Baima Tibetan and Han, but also reflecting the two peoples in the political, economic, cultural and other aspects of the increasingly close interaction and contact.This paper regard Baima Tibetan-inhabited areas in Wen County of Gansu as fieldwork point, and through questionnaires, interviews and participant observation cases and other research methods, this paper analyzed and discussed ethnic intermarriage between Baima Tibetan and Han. Through the study, this papers found out that with the current social and economic development as well as the acceleration of population movements, in which among peoples in the political, economic and cultural ties and exchanges opportunity is gradually increasing, so that ethnic intermarriage among peoples the possibility of a corresponding is increase. That intermarriage phenomenon between Baima Tibetan and Han although has brought favorable effect on harmonious development of ethnic relations, but from protection of Baima Tibetan traditional culture perspective, which to some extent change their national culture has a certain role in promoting. That ethnic intermarriage phenomenon between Baima Tibetan represents not only two individuals from different cultural backgrounds combined, and reflects the two ethnic groups in the cultural aspects of communication and interaction. Therefore, in terms of their ethnic culture and heritage conservation point of view, that intermarriage impact of its culture would be a worthy cause for reflection and study. |
