Social constructivist theory was proposed by Williams and Burden. Social constructivism holds that learners construct the knowledge structure, and also believes that the process of individual knowledge construction is an inherent socialization process, and social factors affect individual learning. The model of social constructivism claims that teacher, learners, tasks and contexts influence the whole learning process. These four aspects are in a dynamic process and have mutual connections and interactions. As is known to us, the spoken English learning is a weak link in the senior high school students’ learning. In order to prove whether the social constructivism is effective in the oral English teaching of the senior high school, the researcher makes a research in high school of Da Wang, Panjin.Through research, the researcher fully realizes that each aspect of the social constructivist views can promote the oral English learning of senior high school students, and draws the following conclusions:social constructivism teaching approach can not only increase the learning ability of students, but also cultivate and enhance the creative ability of students.
